Setup alpine mail client to use Askele mail service
Get alpine
Alpine is a text (console-based) mail client mostly used in *nix-based systems. The better way to get it on *nix (linuxes, bsd …) is to use specific package manager.
To get it up and running on windows you may use https://fossies.org/windows/mail/alpine/alpine-windows-2.20.zip/ link to download it. However, this isn't tested by us, so use it on your own risk.
Setup alpine
Setting up an alpine is quite simple.
Go to (S) Setup → (C) Config and fill the following parameters to read/send emails:
- Inbox Path: {sahkoposti.vapaa.xyz:993/user=youremailaddress/ssl/novalidate-cert}INBOX
- SMTP Server: sahkoposti.vapaa.xyz:465/ssl/user=youremailaddress/novalidate-cert
Save the settings and you're ready.
